Infusion therapy

Unlock your potential – drop by drop

Personalized Infusion Therapy

At the Swiss Center for Health & Longevity, tailor-made infusion therapies with high-dose vital substances are part of the central treatment spectrum. As a blood tuning pioneer and precision physician, Alexander Sahmel prepares personalized infusions according to your individual needs, which are precisely evaluated in laboratory analyses. The blood reveals elementary information on risks such as inflammation or tumor markers. It can also reveal metabolic disorders as well as indications of your mental and emotional state. “Tuning” the blood via infusion therapies can change the lives of sick patients, top athletes, children and senior citizens – and your life too!

Infusion therapy for personalized blood tuning

The infusions are the spearhead of blood tuning. They are based on Alexander Sahmel’s special concept, which he has perfected over the years and through his experience with thousands of patients. The infusions transport highly concentrated active ingredients precisely tailored to your needs: directly into your cells via the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive tract. This is a great advantage, as the vital nutrients reach the body’s organ systems directly via the blood.

How infusion therapy works

When substances are administered orally, they have to be processed by the liver, stomach and intestines. In addition, many substances can become inactive in the digestive tract, be limited in their effectiveness or not be absorbed well due to poor intestinal function.

The vital substances supplied via an infusion have a direct and varied effect on your body, your well-being and your energy levels via your blood. They can lead to an increase in your performance, a reduction in susceptibility to infections and a strengthening of your self-healing powers. They also support longevity and reverse aging.

By administering vital substances directly via the blood, we can achieve higher blood levels of certain nutrients than normal – and can adjust even the smallest levers of your blood values in blood tuning.

Active substances in infusion therapy

Infusion therapy can contain a wide range of active ingredients, depending on your individual needs. Some of the commonly used substances in infusion therapy are:

Infusion therapies may contain high doses of vitamins such as vitamin C, vitamin B complex (including B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12), vitamin D and vitamin K. These vitamins are important for the normal functioning of the body and are used by us for deficiencies or certain health challenges.

Minerals such as magnesium, calcium, zinc and selenium can be included in infusion therapies. They play a crucial role in maintaining metabolic processes, muscle and nerve function and bone health.

Infusion therapies may also contain electrolytes such as sodium, potassium and chloride to help regulate your body’s fluid and electrolyte balance.

The exact composition of an infusion always depends on the individual needs of the patient and the medical objectives.

Typical trace elements that can be found in medical infusions are iron, zinc, copper, selenium, chromium, manganese, sulphate, etc.

Secondary plant compounds, also known as phytochemicals, are a broad group of natural compounds found in plants. These compounds are not necessarily essential for plant survival, such as carbohydrates or proteins, but are used by plants to protect themselves from environmental stresses, pests and diseases.

Secondary plant substances also have the potential to have a health-promoting effect on humans if they are included in the diet – or in some cases via infusion therapy.

There are thousands of different phytochemicals, but they can be divided into several main categories:

Polyphenols:
This group of phytochemicals includes flavonoids, phenolic acids, resveratrol and more. Polyphenols are known for their antioxidant properties, which help protect cells from free radical damage. They are found in foods such as fruit, vegetables, tea, red wine and dark chocolate.

Terpenes:
Terpenes are a large group of compounds found in essential oils and resins. These include limonene, carotenoids and lycopene. Terpenes can have an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect and are found in citrus fruits, tomatoes and carrots.

Glucosinolates:
These compounds are mainly found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower and mustard greens. Glucosinolates can reduce the risk of cancer and have detoxifying properties.

Saponins:
Saponins are found in legumes and some root vegetables. They can stimulate the immune system and help to lower cholesterol levels.

Lignans:
Lignans are found in flaxseeds, grains and whole grains. They have been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease and certain cancers.

Catechins:
Catechins are a type of flavonoid found primarily in green tea. They have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Secondary plant compounds have attracted the interest of nutritionists and health experts due to their potential health benefits. A diet rich in various phytochemicals can help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes.

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. In infusion therapy, special amino acids such as glutamine, arginine or taurine can be used to support cell metabolism and help with various health problems.

Antioxidants are molecules that are able to neutralize or inhibit so-called free radicals. Free radicals are highly reactive molecules that occur naturally in our bodies, but are also produced by external influences such as UV radiation, smoking or environmental pollution.

These free radicals can damage cells and tissue by entering into uncontrolled reactions with them, which can lead to oxidative stress. Antioxidants work by scavenging these free radicals and donating an electron to them. This prevents the free radicals from causing further damage to cells and tissues. Some common antioxidants found in the body or administered in infusion therapy are vitamins such as vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin A.

Trace elements such as zinc, selenium and copper also act as antioxidants. They act as cofactors for enzymes that are involved in the neutralizing effect of free radicals. Glutathione is also a powerful antioxidant that can protect cells from damage caused by free radicals.

The balance between free radicals and antioxidants is crucial for cell health.
